We’ve been led to believe that we can’t heal ourselves

I started Root & Remedy because I saw a real gap. So many people are searching for natural, effective ways to heal, yet the options are limited.

Herbal medicine has always called to me, and tending to my own garden awakened something deeper—an ancestral knowing of how we once lived in harmony with the earth. Becoming a mum only deepened that pull. I wanted to know that the medicine I was giving my daughter wasn’t just covering up symptoms but was helping her body heal and grow stronger.

I’m a farm girl turned city girl… turned back to farm girl again.

After years in the desert city (aka Perth), I found myself longing for a slower, simpler way of living-closer to the land and to the rhythms of nature. So, we sold everything, packed up, and moved across the country to begin our biggest adventure yet: building our farm and creating a life that feels true.

I began small, growing a handful of medicinal herbs and experimenting with remedies for my own family. If you see a product from me, it’s because it’s been tested in real life, on real people, with the everyday bugs and colds that roll through a family home.

Here on the farm, we’ve created systems where the animals and land support each other. Everything I grow and make is chemical-free. We don’t use sprays or shortcuts here, just honest plants grown in healthy soil. I’m not paying for an “organic” stamp, but I can promise you everything is as close to the earth as
it gets.

I’m not a certified practitioner. I’m a mum, a grower, and a curious learner who believes in the wisdom that’s been passed down through generations.

What I share here is for families like mine—mothers who want to take back a bit of control over their health and raise kids who know the power of a backyard medicine cabinet.

I encourage everyone to trust their own intuition, and of course, to seek professional support when needed.

For me, Root and Remedy is more than a business. It’s a way of life. It’s about helping families feel empowered, connected to nature, and confident that healing can be simple. Right now that looks like small-batch remedies made with love. One day, I dream of a little farmstand where you can stop by, pick up what you need, and chat about the plants growing in your own garden.

We’re learning as we go. We’re moving slow. And that’s exactly the point.
